Brooke Johnson
Director of Children’s Ministry
Brooke is the Director of Children’s Ministry.
Brooke grew up in Stacy, MN, then moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota. She was invited to Hope as a freshman (fall 1998), started volunteering with the kids ministry, and was welcomed in by some great families. While at the U, she also met many dear friends and her amazing husband, Ben! After graduating with a degree in Elementary Education, she worked in a Special Education class until her first child was born. After that, she stayed home to care for her kids, as well as several other precious children.
Ben and Brooke have three kids; Courtney, Phil, and Ian. They attend Hope Academy, where Ben also teaches high school math. Brooke loves playing games with her family, being outside (in or by water is her favorite!), reading juvenile fiction, trying new foods, and watching awesome movies like Marvel, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. She loves getting the chance to know so many amazing young people, and seeing the incredible ways God reveals Himself in and through them!
