Sam Kemp
Overseer
I’m Sam, I am married to Eman Kemp and have a daughter (Nia, 16 months old) and we have a baby boy on the way! Professionally, I lead corporate strategy for GoDaddy and previously led a research team on Wall Street. I went to the University of Minnesota, which is where I got connected to Hope in 2011; I had originally planned to “shop” around for a church for a while but immediately was drawn to Hope’s passion for breaking through the caricatures of Christianity so that the Gospel could be heard. I’ve served on our hospitality teams, led marriage mentoring classes with my bride, led a Hope small group, gone through LDI offroad, mentored guys, and been the recipient of so much love, care and guidance from the body at Hope. The prospect of becoming an elder at Hope is so deeply humbling – the elders have guided Hope through many of our life stages and just a few crazy world events with a laser focus on the unchanging message of the Gospel. I look forward to contributing to that and leaning in, frankly, wherever an extra set of hands is needed.
