Jason grew up in the Twin Cities suburbs and after high school, joined the Air Force to do some traveling and get a jump start on college. After graduating from McNally Smith College of Music in 2017, he spent a few years establishing his band, touring the country, and spending most of his free time building and training production teams at a handful of local churches. In 2021 he quickly found a church family and home in Hope CC when his now wife, then fiancé, Erika introduced him to the community.
His favorite expression of worship outside of Sunday morning services is playing shows with his metal band. “Taking my music to the stage is a very deep bond I have with God. Through chaotic music we share a message of hope to dark, uncomfortable places and to people who feel hopeless. Those are the places I offer my gifts back to the Lord in the most obedient way I know how.”
