Because we aim to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, we believe the normal Christian life is one of constant growth and learning. To help facilitate that, we offer a large variety of classes to help aid people in further developing their relationship with God. These classes include in-depth studies of books of the Bible, practical daily Christian life, mentoring, spiritual disciplines, and countless others. Discerning God’s Will: How to make Wise Decisions
Facilitated by Jon Neal and Rachael Skarphol
Located in the Fireside Room
How should I use my summer? What should I do after graduation? Should I ask this person out? Should I take this job? These questions can paralyze us. We don’t know what to do. We want to make the right choice that God would want us to make, but we just don’t know what that is! Join us as we tackle this head-on, trying to train ourselves on how to make decisions, whether big or small!
Created to Create: Art in God’s Kingdom
Facilitated by Ben Reeves and Daniel Ducharme
Located in Conference Room 1
We all feel a pull to be creative, and whether you’re a painter, a lawyer or a plumber, you have the opportunity to express that innovative gift. We believe that God is the ultimate creator, and He created us all to be creative. Is there a right way to do that? As christians are we obligated to make the gospel a centerpiece to all our creative works? How should we approach the art our society creates? This class will explore all these themes as we seek to discern God’s purpose for art.

SHAPE
Wednesdays, dates TBA
We believe that God, by his Holy Spirit, has gifted every man and woman who is a follower of Jesus Christ with a special function to bless the whole body of believers – and we want our body at Hope to be functioning together at full capacity! The SHAPE class helps followers of Christ explore and better understand the unique design that God has for each of us. Throughout the class, participants are guided through a personal study of:
Spiritual Gifts,
Heart motivations,
Abilities and talents,
Personality traits and
Experiences in life.

Redemption Groups
The normal Christian life is a war. The battle to fight against sin is a constant reality. These 6-week courses help give you training on how to wage war against sin. Whether its a struggle with pride, chemical addiction, sexual purity, or depression, these courses are designed to help be a resource for you to work through these areas.
Check out the Redemption Groups page for more information!
LDI, or the Leadership Development Institute, is Hope’s leadership development internship program. Though the classes are designed specifically for our interns, we open them up to the church at large. Space is limited however, and the classes do require a fee to cover basic curriculum costs. Go here for a list of courses.
