The Legacy Campaign

WHAT?

This campaign is to help purchase and renovate Augustana Lutheran Church.  Two years ago, we projected that we would outgrow our current facility.  That time came, and God simultaneously provided the opportunity to buy ALC, which is directly next to our current property!  Our desire is to update the property for our ministry needs, but to continue on the legacy that Augustana started 145 years ago!

Intent to Purchase Augustana
This document is what we presented to Augustana Lutheran Church, of which both of our congregations voted and approved.

WHY?

We want to honor God by helping as many people as possible become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

- We don’t want another building for the sake of having another building.
- We don’t want another building to grow Hope’s name and popularity.
- We don’t want another building for the sake of just growing an organization.

We want another building so that we can more effectively share the good news of Jesus Christ to our city, to our state, and to our world through the proclamation of the gospel, bringing people into community, raising up leaders, and planting new relevant and reverent churches.

HOW?

This is a large endeavor.  We need your help.  The hard part about a growing church is that it can often get hit by the bystander effect – people just assume that other people will take care of it.  It can happen with discipleship, evangelism, giving, and service.  Don’t let that happen here.  We need YOU!

Throughout this process, there will be countless opportunities for you to sacrificially give from your time, talents, treasure, and ticker (your heart).  Be watchful on the City for updates.

One of the huge ways you can give is financially.  For Phase 1 of our Campaign, we need to raise $389,219.
